Trees Down

The N. Loop has a couple of trees down on the farthest portion out near the prison wall. Use caution. We hope to get a crew together and get out there to clean this up soon.

Also, the recent poll: Yes, if there is a mud puddle PLEASE ride through it, it's easier to fill a hole than repair a widening trail . If you go around you continue to make the trail wider and wider. If we have had a recent rain stay off the trails for a good 4 hours before riding so the water has some time to soak in. If it was a good soaking rain for several hours than it's probably best to go for a spin on the road.

Our trails are doing pretty well right now so Thank You to all that obeyed the trail postings, we have a few ruts out there from those that chose to venture under the tape but it should pound back in over the spring.

If you are riding at the N. Loop the Rogo's Return Bridge Trail is very soft so use the other bridge, maybe today will dry it out but use a little common sense if it feels soft.

Thank You

North Loop is Open

This a.m. Kris and I rode the closed sections of the North Loop and deemed them all ride-able and opened up pretty much the whole loop.
Trail work this afternoon was a huge success, THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME OUT TO RAKE, CLIP, BLOW & PICK UP TRASH! The trails in the above photos above are now leaf free and are in great shape!!!!! The only part that is closed is the the return bridge, it's pretty soft in this area so just go back on the outbound bridge section. It's taped off so you should be able to figure it out. This should be open in a few more days if the weather stays dry. Also the Newest Expert Spur is closed.

THANKS to all that obeyed the trail signs and stayed off the closed trails!

Spring Trail Conditions

Bryon Amo got out Saturday and got a mile or so blown out on the N. Loop. It's a big task. Bryon's comments were "it's the hardest to blow out the leaves in the inch or so deep ruts from people who have ridden on the trail". The N. Loop is CLOSED so stay off it until further notice.
If any one wants to volunteer to use the blower to blow off the leaves on the N. Loop so it drys sooner post a message on the message board under trails.

Thanks Bryon!

Also if you have a charter.net email account. Please change your settings to allow me to send you club email updates, every time I email out an email I get a "postmaster delivery failed" notice to all charter.net accounts, I don't have the time to send them to everyone individually. Thanks
